The Witch Doctor thinks “The Stupidity Theory” is not the one.
Mr Paul Thorpe, Consultant Spinal Surgeon, favours “The Conspiracy Theory.”
He believes MTAS/MMC is deliberately blocking doctors from entering training and that everything that has gone wrong has been predicted.
“Its simply a way of trying to keep doctors in malleable, insecure, non-training posts, and swelling the number of non-consultant career grades (NCGC’s) because they are cheaper and less trouble. Why do they think there is bother over the NCCG contract? Its because they don’t want to offer them a decent pay.”
