THE FUTURE OF THE MEDICAL WORKFORCE - A DISCUSSION PAPER
It seems that the organisation “NHS Employers” has produced, presumably on behalf of the government, a policy document for discussion named “The Future of the Medical Workforce” which was circulated for comment earlier this year. The deadline for response was 28 February 2007.
Here is a question that has been slipped into this document.
“Do you believe a modest oversupply of graduates would be a good thing?”
ALTRUISIM / STUPIDITY / INCOMPETENCE / CONSPIRACY?
Stupidity or incompetence this is not. This is a calculated question.
ALTRUISM: Concern over demographic changes producing a safety net of staff?
CONSPIRACY: Producing medical unemployment in order to destabilise, weaken and control?
They are not mutually exclusive.
