MTAS cost £1.9million +++

CHUCKLING ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK

So there you have it.

“Hospital Doctor” reports that the MTAS fiasco has cost the taxpayer over £1.9 million.

This is the figure for running the website during 2006 and 2007 as well as the development costs to two commercial parties. There are many other collateral costs not included which will add up to much, much more that this.

As well as human costs.

The BMA is demanding an independent review by The National Audit Office to identify the full cost of the exercise. The Tooke Report will not cover this.

In the meantime the “Work Psychology Partnership” (of Professor Fiona Patterson fame) that designed the person specification and scoring system and was charged with “upskilling” the selectors will not be wondering whether there is enough money in the coffers to buy the mince for tonight’s dinner.

THE MTAS EXPERIMENT

Neither will “Methods Consulting”, responsible for the now dead MTAS website.

Unless of course there is a demand for a refund.

Which is unlikely.

Unlikely, because refunds are never on offer for government gamblers who lose.

And anyway, the taxpayers’ money keeps flowing.

Always.

So, no matter.
