The 360 Degree Thing - The Raters

WHAT THE RATERS DO

You’ve found a website that’s gives lots of information on the 360 Degree Thing, My Black Cat?

Good!

And you think the Friar’s Balsam has worked well?

Good! Its a great old remedy that all Expert Patients should have up their sleeves.

Particularly the neglected ones who own an Apple Mac.

Are you telling me you can now smell rats, My Black Cat?

Good!

So where is the 360 Degree Website?

Its part of the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement.

THE 360 DEGREE ASSESSMENT TOOL

Does it tell you what or who “Raters” are?

Yes?

Each person who does the 360 Degree Thing has to choose at least a dozen people who know them well enough to agree to become “Raters” and write a kind of “critique” about them.

Ah….

Do most humans know 12 people well enough for an accurate “critique” of this nature, My Black Cat? I hope these “Raters” don’t just write the first thing that comes into their heads, or say nice things if they like the person, or horrible things if they don’t like the person, or even just write gibberish.

If they did that, it would be a waste time, My Black Cat.

Do these “Raters” have to be trained to do this?

You don’t know.

How long dies it take them to fill in the form?

About 45 minutes to 1 hour.

I’m sure it’ll take longer than that.

So, if it takes 1 hour per Rater that’s 12 hours of work for the Raters.

Do they get paid for this?

Do they do it in NHS time?

Or their own time?

You don’t know?

See if you can find out a bit more about it, My Black Cat!
