WHAT WILL GOOGLE HEALTH HAVE BECOME ONCE (IF EVER) NPfIT MAKES IT’S DEBUT?
We witches are far too busy getting on with life, to generate neurosis by dwelling too much on our health care.
No, we in the witching community do not keep a diary of the medicines we take nor of our visits to our GP and hospital.
We never will!
Perhaps that’s because we don’t take medicine much and only visit doctors when we are patients, not clients.
We accept, however, that many of The Humankind do not take our view.
We are aware too, as are governments, that a way of bolstering the economy is to create a market in Health Care.
Cultivate a neurotic market and let neurosis pay the shareholders!

TODAY’S CUPBOARD FOR MEDICAL RECORDS
TOMORROW’S CUPBOARD FOR MEDICAL RECORDS?
And those so inclined to keep a health record, might just choose to initiate it themselves, have ownership of it, decide what goes into it, and if they get fed up with it, choose when to delete it.
Patient choice!
Patients might feel threatened by a controlling government.
They might prefer Google.

it will make a mockery of our grandiose top down scheme.
I said it myself well over a year ago, the best way to engage people would be to make it voluntary and have a way of people being able to upload their own details and info onto a central server like google for example.

Yes, I’m sure Google will develop this over the years, and will be well established by the time the UK scheme is ready to roll out (if ever).
By that time, Google will have an indication of whether the UK population have the same approach to accessing health records as they do in the USA.
What will be even more interesting is whether the patient education link is fully developed by Google and each patient will have a portfolio of papers linking to their personal health problems. That is when things will become really challenging for those who have not obtained a medical degree. At that stage many HCW will need to be replaced by doctors once more.
The swing of the pendulum…..
We should be preparing for this now.
Patient education will mean we need more doctors, not less.
Governments just don’t get it!
