A witch's respite from the blogosphere

There are so many things that a witch could blog about just now : the Savile allegations, Winterbourne, allegations of paedophile rings in children’s homes, rumours that folk in high office are involved in child physical and sexual abuse. Then within the NHS there is the Liverpool Care Pathway, mixed sex wards, revalidation and much, much more. And of course, there are the Intertwingled Triplets that keep beavering away in the background. There is possible control of the media looming – and that must also mean there will be attempts to control the Internet – with huge implications for freedom of speech.

All of this is getting The Witch Doctor down. Her brain is pounding and fragmenting and it needs a rest.

So, My Black Cat as she stalked around the Intertwinglment scene last night, came up with something that she feels might benefit The Witch Doctor.

She has found a a publication called “Intelligent Life.” It seems to be related to “The Economist.”

And there, lo and behold, is the answer to a brain-tired witch’s prayer.

A little respite in a monastery or convent would be the very thing.

Now, it is well known that The Humankind has an aversion to clicking links on this blog.

That is a pity, since if you don’t click on the links you will have absolutely no idea what My Black Cat found as she skulked about looking for fat rats and intertwinglements. She certainly did not expect to find this haven detached in every way from the blogosphere.
