End of life decisions – THE CREEP BEGINS

THE CREEP BEGINS

The Witch Doctor commends that you read this post by “THE FERRET FANCIER”

NURSES TO MAKE END OF LIFE DECISIONS

And then you may want to read this:

ANGEL OF DEATH

And this:

DECISIONS RELATING TO CARDIOPUMONARY RESUSCITATION

And after you’ve read all this, consider the following:

Why?

Why now?

Where will it lead?

Consider “Agenda for Change”

Consider “The Skills Escalator”

Consider “The Competency Culture”

Consider “The NHS Christmas Trees”

If you don’t know where The Witch Doctor is coming from, then scour this blog for more information.

Then work it out for yourself.

If you can be bothered……..

Whether doctor, nurse, or health care professional, the end result of “THE COMPETENCY CULTURE” can take you to a fearful place. That is how “CREEP” operates.

Consider it.

Especially if you are a patient.

And if you are a doctor……..

Remember that MMC in its present form lends itself to “CREEP” because of where it sits in the overall plan for the NHS.

  1. It is taking us in a most perilous direction,

the creep continues and we slide down the slippery slope,

I just wonder how far it can go?

I am consistently amazed at how far it has already gone, unreason seems to know no bounds
