Beyond Hospital at Night to 24/7

witch10.jpg

WE TOLD YOU SO!

Do you remember we said it would creep, My Black Cat.

The day we were having a break from The Spell Pantry all these years ago, when we said Hospital at Night would slowly creep in to Hospital on Public Holidays, Hospital at Weekends and then eventually Hospital Morning Noon and Night.

Then we thought a better name would be “Hospital at all Hours.”

Remember, My Black Cat?

Well, The Creep is reaching its endpoint.

Only we gave the end-point a different name.

THE TWO FACED MASK OF HOSPITAL 24/7

They haven’t picked up on our end-point name “Hospital at all Hours.” They’re using “Hospital 24/7” instead.

Our name’s better. Isn’t it, My Black Cat?

Did we not try to introduce “Hospital at all Hours” as a “Blue Bottle Spell?

Yes, I thought we did. They didn’t like the abbreviation we planned, though.

HAAH!

They thought it sounded too much like a joke!

Didn’t they, My Black Cat?

So they settled for 24/7.

And remember how we said this change would be done in the name of “The European Working Time Directive?”

And remember how we said that it would be utilised to dis-empower the medical profession?

And remember how we said, it would lead to a decrease in the number of doctors.

At a time when the country needs more doctors.

And remember how we said the senior medics would be the ones who would sell their own profession down the river.

By going along with all of this.

And not saying “NO”

Do you remember, My Black Cat.

When we said this.

All these years ago.

And very few listened then.

As very few are listening now.
