“Polyclinics will not improve patient care or access to treatment, according to a survey of NHS consultants.
Some 60% of the 1,587 respondents to the British Medical Association (BMA) survey disagreed or strongly disagreed that the super-surgeries would improve the quality of patient care, while 42% did not agree that they would improve patient access to treatment, with about one third undecided on both counts.”
I suspect the 1/3 who are undecided are only just wakening up to the problem.
Maybe they are too harassed to know what is going on in the world outside since it seems they lack secretaries, computers, support by management, and feel they are prevented from introducing new ideas.
Seems like obstruction rather than facilitation is what is going on in some hospitals.
