HAPPY BIRTHDAY NHS!

Mr Brown (and Mr Cameron too), the NHS will not fade away……..

if only you could understand that competition, marketing, advertising, spin, carrots and sticks are the accoutrements of the business community – not of professionalism……

if only you could accept the NHS can never regard illness as a commodity…..

if only you could stop confusing clients and patients…..

if only you could recognise the true strengths and weaknesses of the NHS today…….

if only you could build on the strengths and stop pandering to the weaknesses…….

if only……. if only…….

  1. if only.

if only NHSMEE would be ‘independent’ from government and not like PMETB which is also allegedly ‘independent’

if only the chair of NHSMEE would not be appointed by the appointment’s commission

the Royal Colleges were relatively independent from government and that was the reason they did a decent job

was watching a program on telly tonight about the BMA opposing Bevan

the BMA felt a state health system would lead to a dumbing down and doctors losing their independence

they have been proven correct over time

    regards
