The European Union is cogitating about interfering with the freedom of bloggers.
Interference with that freedom is already happening.
If you blog, someone may be watching your links. Ready to pounce.
If you are a medical blogger, a link may cost you your career as a doctor.
Not even something you said…..
Follow this link to The Inverness Courier to an article covering The Dr Scot Junior episode. – scroll down to the bottom. Click on the “comments” section and you’ll find out what I’m talking about.
And then think about it.
And then if it worries you, consider spending a lot of time reading this and this. Not a quick read. You need to read a bit, think about it and then come back again a few days later and read some more. You need to delve very deeply into the depths. If you have a busy job and a complex personal life which demands your time, it may take you weeks or months. But please read it. And, before you start, consider yourself to be a young doctor at the very beginning of your career. A junior house officer – fresh out of medical school. Much more junior than Dr Scot Junior who is destined to become a consultant surgeon.
Think of the fresh hopes and fears and dreams you had as a junior house officer.
Think of how little you knew about medical politics then.
And then consider if anything needs changing.
