Corrosive cynicism or constructive criticism?

BLOGGING IS ON THE RADAR

Hazel Blears has tackled the political bloggers.

“The most popular blogs are right-wing, ranging from the considered Tory views of Iain Dale, to the vicious nihilism of Guido Fawkes,” she said.

“But she added: “Unless and until political blogging ‘adds value’ to our political culture, by allowing new and disparate voices, ideas and legitimate protest and challenge, and until the mainstream media reports politics in a calmer, more responsible manner, it will continue to fuel a culture of cynicism and pessimism.”

A REMINDER, JUST IN CASE, MS BLEARS

Guido Fawkes replies:

“Take a memo Ms Blears, we are not here to ‘add value’, or do what politicians want, Guido has his own values and aims to hit back at political hypocrisy and lies. Politicians make laws, so they should be held to account, to a higher standard.”

Wonder when a health secretary will blame the medical bloggers of Corrosive Cynicism and Pessimism.

We feel we are all “adding value” to the NHS.

Don’t we, My Black Cat?

Do you suppose we should show them how?

Would they enjoy being told?

After all, here’s a prime example of Guido Fox in full flight adding value.

The Register carries the story here.

Probably the government won’t want you to visit this site.

So it’s best if you don’t…..

“Remember, remember: people should not be afraid of their government, governments should be afraid of their people.”

Making the punters sit up and think about everything the government does is adding value.

Isn’t it, My Black Cat?

Isn’t it Ms Blears?
