Some time ago, My Black Cat discovered that there was much interest in the NHS in increasing productivity. A new kind of ward was born. It was designed by the NHS Institute of Innovation and Improvement and Ms Christine Beasley CNO was closely involved.
THE PRODUCTIVE WARD – RELEASING TIME TO CARE
Alan Johnson is so impressed by the Productive Ward, that he has earmarked £50m of taxpayers money to roll it out across the country.
What then is The Productive Ward producing?
It is a Time Machine.
It is producing hours, minutes and seconds.
How does it do this?
By rearranging the contents of cupboards.
By having handy things at hand.
By decreasing 17 steps to 13, and releasing 4 steps of caring time.
They used to call it Time and Motion.
The kind of thing any good housewife does.
The housewife gets no payment for this of course.
She just does it when she feels she’s getting into a guddle.
It is part of the the days work.
A good ward sister used to do it too.
In the olden days.
But now it costs £50m.
