The Dr Shirine Boardman Creep

witchround

Well, My Black Cat, we always thought Dr Boardman would not win her claim for unfair dismissal.

Why?

Because of protocols.

Her dismissal would have been protocol driven.

The conclusion of the dismissal appeal panel would have been protocol driven.

Protocols are not flexible enough to cover every nuance thrown at them.

Protocols are phoney constructs when a situation strays outside the “easy to deal with” norm.

Protocols have no brains, judgement or common sense. Or the brains, judgement and common sense are far removed and resided in the Protocol Forming Committee which is no longer around.

Protocols, however, can be useful if brains, judgement and common sense are not wanted for some reason or another.

Now, My Black Cat, consider this:

Would Dr Shirine Boardman have been sacked if individual patient care in hospitals had not crept from being a Consultant Delivered Service to a Protocol Delivered Service?

Just think about that for a while……
