HELPING WITH THE WORK/LIFE BALANCE
GP’s used to have responsibility for their patients 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
And then it seemed as if the government no longer wanted GP’s to have responsibility for their patients 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
They wanted them to have limited responsibility.
They wanted them to have a less professional contract.
Could it have been, My Black Cat, that the government was concerned about the welfare of GP’s?
Could it have been that HMG wanted GPs to have a better work/life balance?

ZEN FOR CONSULTANTS
You don’t think that was the reason for these new contracts, My Black Cat?
You don’t think work/life balance was in the politicians minds?
You don’t think they government cared that consultants and GPs with their professional open-ended contracts might become burnt out?
And you don’t think it was anything to do with the European Working Time Directive?
No?
Then maybe some day you’ll tell me what you think…….
